My name is Dave I was born July 12th 1933 in Mesa Arizona. I moved to Ocean Beach California in 2006. Thinking at the time that the best I could expect was to take walks along the Pacific and stay healthy. Then I got super lucky. I signed up for a free writers workshop in Point Loma, discovered I could write poetry. I always wanted to be a writer but used the old excuse that I had no loft in Greenwich Village or cabin in Key West, so could never be a writer. OB made me forget that lame excuse. Then I found the Drunk Poets Society and did spoken word poetry for the first time. Two years as a drunk poet, the on to stand up comedy. Awesome years ahead as the poet competes with the comic.
